We Sow/Water - He Prunes and Brings the Increase
Updated: Dec 4, 2022
It can be exhausting work when trying to help someone see and understand they are deceived by doctrines of men. I didn't always believe those were the works being referred to when 1 John said Messiah came to destroy the works of the devil, but I am increasingly convinced it was. The "works" added to Torah before, during, and after He came in the flesh are not from the Father and HIS WORKS are the only "good works" because as Messiah said "...THERE IS ONLY ONE WHO IS GOOD, THE FATHER".
This really brings into perspective why MANY who healed the sick, cast out devils, fed the poor, etc will be called evil doers (as Luke put it) or workers of iniquity/lawlessness (as Matthew put it). Not that those works are evil in and of themselves, but when performed by someone who chooses a Torahless lifestyle they become self serving. All those folks may be using His Name to do great "exploits", but they are not abiding in His Name because He is Torah Incarnate and without Torah we are not speaking His primary love language. "IF YOU LOVE ME, OBEY...".
Antinomians wrestle with truth because they like being "free" to do the spiritual things but obedience feels like bondage. They overlook the plain text and try to live by the revelatory insights of things they don't understand. Not because they are incapable, but because they've never spent enough time learning what the writers were quoting. Most completely miss when Torah and the Prophets are being quoted and then mistake places when Paul is talking about rabbinc law or human civil law as if it's all Torah.
How can they possibly receive regular revelatory insights that are correct when they are building without the foundation?
Many don't deny the truth in the Tanakh, they just overlook that Messiah said heaven and earth would pass away before the least significant part of Torah would. They are mostly unaware that Solomon said Torah Obedience is the responsibility of all humanity in Ecclesiates 12:13, and that the Father Himself said it's One law for Gentile and "Jew" as One people in Numbers 15:16 which Paul related to us allegorically in his discourse about grafting-in found in Romans 11. By the way, Paul referred to this 1 Law for 1 People concept as the One New Man (referring to all those humans who believe in Messiah - a likely perspective from Solomon's Ecclesiates 12:13 statement).
If you're tired, because you have spent a lot of time (especially in, but certainly not limited to, OCT and coming in DEC) trying to share truth but feel like you're speaking to a brick wall. Let me free you with something.
IT'S OK TO WALK AWAY AFTER SOWING THE WORD OR WATERING WHAT SOMEONE ELSE SOWED AND IT'S NOT YOUR JOB OR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHANGE THEM, IT'S YOUR JOB TO SIMPLY SOW OR WATER.
Ask Ruach HaKodesh to teach you to recognize when it's time to disengage and either commit it to prayer and maybe even turn it completely over to Him.

Have a blessed day of Shabbat Shalom and freedom my friends.
